2025 Winter Vaulting Training Camp

A collaboration between County Creek Performance Training & Meadow Creek Vaulting Club

August 13-17, 2025

Come train with international clinicians, with the most advanced training equipment available. 

Wednesday August 13 = Private Lessons Only​

Thursday August 14 till 17 = Training Camp

Sunday August 17 will include a performance of the camp participants
 

Location

We are located in rural Alberta, a beautiful quiet farming area.

Only 15 minutes out of small town Olds. Where all services can be found.

Accommodation is available nearby. Several hotels and campgrounds are located in Olds, and surrounding towns such as Didsbury and Innisfail.

Calgary airport is an easy 50 minute drive.

Host families can be arranged with advanced inquiries only. Please indicate in your registration if you'd like to explore this option.

Olds and Didsbury are the closest towns. Both have a campground, and several hotel options available. Olds is the larger town, all services can be found there, and many options for eating out and grocery stores are available as well.

​

The closest airport is Calgary, an easy 50 minutes drive from the training facility. Calgary has flights to/from all major cities in North America and flies to/from smaller airports in Canada as well.

The "Circular Movie"

The most advanced training tool available for vaulters - a horse simulator on a track: endless training opportunities to facilitate learning and skill development.

The "Movie"

​

The Movie is a horse simulator in a stationary area. This technology helps vaulters learn and master their vaulting skills with canter motion prior to learning the skill on a live horse. This helps confidence and makes training on the horses more efficient and effective.

Summer 2025 Trainers

Rob de Bruin

Rob de Bruin started vaulting in 1987 and competed in his first international competition in 1992. Rob competed at European and World Championships in 1992, 1994, 1995 and 1996.
From 1998 until 2007 Rob was the national trainer for the Netherlands. End 2007 he started as the national trainer for Belgium.
In Vienna in 1999 he became the qualification as FEI Vaulting Instructor Level I. Since 2006 Rob started to help the Belgium vaulters with vaulting training sessions and judges seminars.
\De Bruin works since 2003 with the KNHS and the ORUN to educate vaulting trainers and judges. In 2005 he got his license to judge national vaulting competitions. In 2009 Rob got his FEI-C judging license and he promoted to FEI-I Vaulting Judge in April 2011. He In 2013 he became FEI 4* judge. He has since judged at countless CVI's, European and World Championships. Rob is also an instructor of judges, and teaches around the world - both working with vaulters and judges!

Eva Nagiller

Eva Nagiller started vaulting in 2004, and competed on a higher level since 2009. She teaches the kids in her home club (VG Pill) for a couple of years now, and has been teaching clinics nationally and internationally.

Eva has a long list of achievements in vaulting, including: 2019 European Bronze Medal in Pas De Deux, 2021 World Bronze Medal in Individual, 2021 World Silver Medal in Nations Cup, 2023 European Champion in Pas De Deux, 2024 World Champion in Individual. 

Besides vaulting Eva studied sports and nutrition at the University of Innsbruck to become a teacher. She is currently working as a teacher for sprots and cooking/nutrition in a school in Innsbruck.

CCPT Trainers

​

Jeanine van der Sluijs

Jeanine is an EC NCCP High Performance Vaulting Coach. She has a background in vaulting competing for Canada at the National and International stage, achieving many of Canada's top results between 2010-2018. 

Jeanine has worked with many of Canada's top athletes in Junior and Senior divisions and is the Head Coach of Meadow Creek Vaulting Club. Her many years of working with athletes of all ages and levels has given her a strong background in coaching skills for vaulters of all abilities.

Angelique Vick

Angelique has over 15 years of experience training horses for vaulting, and enjoys the process of developing horses for competition. Over the years she has worked with a number of vaulting and dressage trainers from around the world to gain additional knowledge. Angelique has developed numerous horses to perform at international level, and has lunged at countless international events, including the 2023 World Junior Championships. Prior to focusing only on training horses, she also competed internationally for Canada, and can relate to the experience in the showring as both a vaulter and lunger.

Melissa Head

Melissa is a Certified Provincial Vaulting Coach. She has experience working with Beginner to Intermediate Vaulters of all ages. She was a competitive vaulter for 13 years competing at CVI level in the Individual and Squad divisions. Melissa is currently working towards becoming a Provincial Vaulting Judge. "Vaulting is truly an extraordinary sport, and I hope to give back to the community and help grow vaulting in Alberta, and beyond, in any way I can".​​

$650 Training Camp

  • Includes group sessions with the trainers each day

  • Vaulting specific, cross-training, sports nutrition and more sessions are available for all participants

  • Groups will be split according to age, level and registration numbers

  • Simple lunch & refreshments included in camp fee

​

$180 Private Lessons - Rob or Eva

  • 45 minutes private lessons

  • Most lessons held August 17th only

  • Limited spots available

  • May be possible to arrange lessons on the horse (club or your own)​

​

$90/person Semi-Private Lessons

  • Availability limited

  • 45 minute semi-private lessons

  • You may share your lesson time with a friend, just be sure to select the right option in the form​

​

(Semi-)Private Lessons with Jeanine

  • Private Lessons $100

  • Semi-Privates $60 per person

​

Horse Training - Rob or Angelique

  • Bring your own horse to work with

  • $180 with Rob, $100 with Angelique

​

$180 Coach/Auditor (or $60/day)

  • Attend all days and learn alongside the athletes

  • Bring your own lunch or opt for the add-on with your registration​

​

If you would like to bring your horse for private lessons:

  • Send us an email to inquire about making tentative plans to bring your horse. We can be flexible on weather depending factors during this time of course.

  • Limited day stabling or overnight options available.

​
